(1) Individual Paper Proposal: Papers may explore novel developments related to legislatures, such as responses to the rise of populism, changing roles of legislatures in the presence of military conflict and natural disasters, democratic erosion, and other challenges that legislatures face. We are also interested in papers related to legislative strengthening, legislative institutionalization, and analysis of successes and failures of legislatures to become/ remain independent and strong policy-making institutions. The call for proposals is not limited to the topics that you see above. We are open to proposals on other topics that you are interested in presenting at the conference. Please submit them to the track “RC 08 Legislative Specialists”.

(2) Paper Proposal to an Open Panel: You may propose a paper to one of the open panels:

(3) Proposal of a Closed Panel: Finally, there is still time to submit a complete closed panel on any given topic. A closed panel consists of at least four papers, discussants and panel chairs.
